My name is Minji and Im a girl whos 16 years old. Im a Korean-Canadian who was born in Korea. If you
are wondering about how I look like, I have black or dark brownish long hair, wear black glasses, and Im
kind of short/medium compared to my friends. Of course, Im Asian, but look more like Korean because Im
Korean. Id be sad if Im not. I love playing all kinds of sports, such as basketball, netball, field hockey,
roller hockey, rugby, etc. Im in several sports teams as well. Although I look really weak, Im strong inside.
I have tones of hobbies that if I list them, there would be no end. Ill list a few, though. I love cross-stitching, stamp collecting, listening
to music, playing instruments, going out with friends, etc. Im a very active and funny person that youll ever find. *^^* Im interested
in Korea because I was born in Korea and Im Korean. Korea has unique history, culture, custom, and language compared to
other countries in the world. Even though Korea is one of the smallest countries in the world, its one of the strongest country economically.
I should simply say that I love Koreas uniqueness.
Episode
Well, yes. It was on the
subway and I couldnt
find a seat. I was holding
heavy plastic
bags from Dong
Dae Mun Si Jang
(Dongdaemun
Market). At that
time, an old man
who was sitting told
me that hell hold them
for me since hes sitting down.
First, I thought that hed take my stuff
away after pretending to be holding
them. So, I told him that its okay.
But, he kept on saying that hell hold
them for me. So, I let him hold them.
Since, he couldnt understand English,
at least I thought, I told my mom in
English how hes mean and such a stupid
old man he is. That was my mistake.
After getting off the subway, my
mom told me that when she was young,
there were always those nice old people
holding heavy stuff for her when she
couldnt find a place to sit. I was
ashamed of myself because I didnt
appreciate his help, but swore in
English so that he couldnt understand
me.
About Canada
Canada is the second
biggest
country in the
world. Its
right
after
Russia,
the
biggest
country.
Canada is culturally
diverse,
especially in the
Vancouver area, which I
live in. My friends are all
from different ountries. For example,
Russia, USA, Indonesia, Malaysia,
China, Hong Kong, Japan, Poland,
Romania, Croatia, Bosnia, Germany,
Fiji, Mexico, Iran, Ghana, Uganda,
Cuba, Vietnam, Philippines, Turkey,
Somalia, etc. The list can go on forever.
Everyones pretty much accepted
and respected, although sometimes
there are racists, who doesnt like
other cultures based on their looks.
Canada is famous for salmon, which is
originally from Natives who are the
first owners of Canada. They are
D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!
